Since its foundation in 1954, Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) has always been known as the best foreign language education institute in Korea. Now, HUFS teaches 45 foreign languages at the two campuses and by educational exchange with more than 400 foreign education institutes in 86 countries, HUFS has not only become the passage for Korean and foreign university students to communicate, but also is contributing to globalization of Korea.
Especially, Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) program at HUFS, where it cultivates teachers who teach one of the most important foreign language in the 21st century, English, has been started on the basis of solid professionalism and is now grown as the standout program among many domestic and foreign TESOL programs. Lots of English education specialists have been trained through this program for more than 10 years and now they are actively working in various English education related fields. Welcome! Hankuk University of Foreign Studies (HUFS) teaches TESOL at its finest.
The characteristics of the TESOL Professional Education Center (TPEC) are as follows:
1. Full-time foreign HUFS professors provide comprehensive professional training for a wide variety of essential subjects in our field.
2. Specialized support in the use of AIDT (AI Digital Textbook) is a central focus, and because of this, you can get certified as an ‘English Teacher of AIDT (ET-AIDT)’.
3. By way of an internship in the U.S., you have the opportunity to further your education in many unique ways.
4. You also have chances to participate in various lectures at the graduate school level in an effort to fine tune your expertise.
5. We can help facilitate and ease the transition into both a master’s and doctorate program here on campus with as much assistance as possible.
In short, we have no doubt that you will be significantly enriched and elevated as an English language teaching professional through the TPEC TESOL program at HUFS.
